Betrayal... such a powerful feeling...
It’s a binding force that sinks you down...
It leaves you unable to breathe...
You just want to scream until the horrible feeling goes away..
The feeling of dread and doom...
And the why me feeling...
You think of the fun you had with that person...
And all the mistakes you've made...
Never to be un-done...
That feeling alone...
Makes you feel the pressure...
Like you've been hit...
You search around... For anything...
That may take away the pain...
But you'll find... that whatever you do...
It will only feed the pain...
If you tell someone of the hurt...
Their sympathy... cuts into you as well...
You wonder if they... they... are spending time...
With the person who is responsible for this...
You lose all sense of self value...
Then suddenly... Tears start to fall...
With each drop... You feel the pain start to lift...
Undisturbed mourning... For a friend lost...
But its even worse... That they are only lost to you...
Everyone else can still enjoy their company...
Their laughter around you... Seems more and more like a blessing...
I'm sure you'd start to feel hollow... and stalker-ish even...
Each time you were near the old friend...
So you slip away... Into your dreams...
Feeding off the emotions of yesterday...
Trying to undo what you've done...
In time... Your wounds will heal...
You will see how foolish you were...
And how the friend was the ultimate betrayer...
Soon you will laugh again...
And your heart will melt...
You'll find someone better...
Who deserves your presence...
